Shoal Creek Baptist Church
How To Join SCBC

Because the Christian life involves more than just believing - it involves belonging and becoming - we are happy to extend to you and your family an opportunity to become a part of our church family. Here's how...

(1) By Profession Of Faith
If you have received Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and desire to be baptized we will gladly welcome you into the SCBC family.

(2) By Transfer Of Your Membership From Another Baptist Church
If God leads you to join our church family, we will be happy to welcome you and to take the necessary steps to have your membership transferred here.

(3) By Statement Of Faith
If you know in your heart that you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, we will be delighted to receive you in our church family. If your present church membership is with a different denomination and you have not been baptized by immersion, we would expect you to be baptized by immersion in obedience to Christ before being added to the membership of Shoal Creek.

You may join our church by coming forward at the close of one of our public worship services during the time of invitation and indicate to our pastor that it is your desire to join this church. He will ask you a few questions and then you will be helped throughout the process. You may also follow through on your decision to seek membership by making an appointment with the pastor (883-7400) and discussing membership with him in your home or his office...

This church accepts the Scriptures as the all sufficient basis of doctrine and practice. Although we place no statement of faith above the authority of the Scriptures themselves, we do subscribe to the interpretation of the Biblical truths stated in the Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention on June 14, 2000. We further accept any revisions that are in keeping with the truths of God’s Word…
